Facts On "Green" Fashion..............

Welcome to my first blog about "Green" Fashion.............

Do You Know:

  •    About 1/5 lb. of pesticides goes into one t-shirt made of conventional cotton.
  •    Organic cotton is free of chemical pesticides.
  •     Organic fabrics are made from natural fibers that have grown without the use of chemical pesticides, preserving the health of humans and the environment.
  •     Boiling cocoons killing moth inside makes conventional silk.
  •     Peace silk, also known as vegetarian silk, allows the moth to emerge from their cocoons to live out their full life cycle.
  •     Buying vintage or reused items is not only green but saves you a lot of green too.
  •     Is vintage fur eco? Technically because it’s a product that’s being reused it could be considered eco- friendly.
  •    To feel like you have new and exciting clothes without buying more clothes, change up what you already have. Wearing a skirt as a blouse is a perfect example.
  •     Even as a pregnant woman, a way to go green is wearing some of your spouses clothing.

There are many ways we all can go “green” in our everyday lives. We can support designers like Loomstate, Laura Miller, Judy Lee and etc. We can also wear clothing that is popular like Levi’s, Stella McCartney and American Apparel.
